Ciudad de México.- El PRI valoró positivamente la resolución que adoptó la Suprema Corte para permitir el consumo recreativo de la mariguana.
En opinión del secretario general, Arturo Zamora, la decisión podría mermar la fortaleza económica de las organizaciones del crimen organizado.
“Seguramente que esto -esperemos que así sea- sea un elemento que disminuya el potencial y fortaleza económica de las organizaciones criminales”, planteó.
En entrevista, el dirigente dijo que, si todos debieran avalar el consumo de mariguana con fines medicinales, en el caso recreativo es necesario esperar a valorar los efectos.
“Creo que uno de los fines es despresurizar la saturación de personas que están detenidas, a juicio de los ministros de la Corte, injustamente por poseer mariguana para consumo personal”, comentó.
“Pero también el de debilitar las capacidades financieras de las organizaciones criminales. El efecto, desde el punto de vista social, no lo conocemos porque es inédito para el país, porque no sabemos si puede haber un efecto de consumo masivo”.
Por otro lado, el expresidente Vicente Fox celebró la jurisprudencia al considerar que puede ser una salida a la violencia en el país.
“Felicidades, muchas felicidades, Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, han dado un paso adelante en concordancia con lo que ha pasado en el mundo entero”, expresó en un video.
“Esto le trae a México una gran salida a la violencia que hemos padecido en estos últimos 10 años, brutal violencia en las calles de México que se puede atemperar, reducir, inclusive llegar a detener, a través de esta medida fundamental”.
